The tin whistle is the most inexpensive and accessible instruments in traditional music. It is an excellent place to start learning tunes. All you need is a whistle in the key of “D”, available at most music shops. Generation brand is preferred. Upper intermediate and advanced students please also bring a whistle in the key of Bb.
