This workshop is open to anyone who has a bit of Irish Dance experience already. You don’t need much - the basics will do. Robert will be teaching the oldest solo set dance-The Blackbird, as well as the well-known Jockey to the Fair. These are not the hard shoe, competition versions of these dances, but the gentler, older style as seen here:

Robert learned his dancing from Miss Mulholland’s School and was a principal dancer in her Irish Ballets. He was a very popular BelfastTrad tutor for many years and we are delighted to have him back to teach this workshop.
