This special event hosted by Martin Dowling, will be an informal afternoon of chat and music with Mick Mulkerrin, a renowned set dancer, sean nós dancer, and step dancer based in Dublin. He was born to Irish parents and raised in Scotland where he learned his first traditional steps at the age of ten.
Over the years Mick has performed and taught dance throughout Europe and the USA and is a long-term dance tutor at the Willie Clancy Summer School in Miltown Malbay, Co Clare.
Join in on the ‘Steps for Sets’ workshop followed by the In-conversation with Mick Mulkerrin.
The Workshop:
This ‘Steps for Sets’ workshop is suitable for dancers at all levels, with beginners welcome. It will feature steps danced to various rhythms – reels, jigs, hornpipes, polkas – used within set dancing.
*Enrolment includes free admission to in-conversation with Mick Mulkerrin.
Cost and booking:
