Beginners, 6:00 - 7:00pm, Rm 2 & Rm 3
Learn the fiddle from scratch in this class. This is a class for total beginners; the only requirement is that you arrive with a fiddle and enthusiasm! Students generally spend two terms in this class before progressing to Lower Intermediate.

Lower Intermediate, 7:00 - 8:00pm, Rm 3 & Rm 4 (two classes):
*NEW TIME - 3rd class* Lower Intermediate, 8:00 - 9:00pm, Recital Room

If you played the fiddle when you were younger and are trying to find a way back into music, this might be the class for you. Beginning with simple tunes, we quickly progress to reels and hornpipes. Special attention is paid to developing aural perception and developing ornamentation.

Upper Intermediate, 7:00 - 8:00pm, Rm 2
Ideally you will have 10-20 tunes under your belt when you join Upper Intermediate. The pace of learning is similar to Lower Intermediate, except the repertoire will be more complex with a focus on session tunes.

Advanced, 8:00 - 9:00pm, Rm 3

Advanced fiddle gives students the chance to rapidly increase their repertoire amongst other players from all over Ulster who can participate in sessions. Generally two tunes are covered each week, but sometimes as many as three. There is an emphasis on refining ornamentation and introducing tunes in more difficult keys, such as C and B flat. Advanced players from other musical genres are also welcome here.
