Complete Beginner - Tuesdays - 6.30pm (Lecture Theatre 1)
Week 1-4 of term. Students will then move to the beginner class.

This class is open to complete beginners on the flute. Students typically spend a term at this level learning the notes on the flute, technique for blowing the wooden flute. Students will also have a change to sit in on the Beginner class and are welcome to move up when they feel they are at this level.

Beginners - Tuesdays -7pm

This class is open to beginners who have spent a term at the complete beginners class and can achieve a secure technique for blowing the wooden flute. Students typically spend a few terms at this level learning the notes on the flute, mastering technique for blowing the wooden flute and learning simple tunes like airs, polkas and jigs.

Advanced- Tuesdays -8pm

Suitable for those players with some experience of the flute and interested in challenging tunes and applying ornamentation and variations to their playing.

Intermediate - Wednesdays - 6pm

Learn the basics of ornamentation and variations whilst also learning more complex tunes by ear like reels and slip jigs in this class for those with some flute experience.
